Going out in Nice: the holidays in Nice are of course the long days of relaxation on the beach heated by the Mediterranean sun, these are the walks along the Promenade des Anglais, it is the visits of the emblematic places of the city like Cours Saleya, the arenas of Cimiez, the place Garibaldi, but it is also the outings in the evening, in family, in couple, between friends or solo.
Going out, in the Niçoise way, it starts with an aperitif in the port, followed by a candlelight dinner or family dinner in the best restaurants in the city center. Nice does not sleep and the revellers feel like fish in the water, bathed in a very lively atmosphere that never wavered, even for a single moment and that from the beginning of the evening to the first glimmerings of the next day.
Going out in Nice? One place: Old Nice. Eh yes ! The historical quarter of the city, pedestrian zone with its narrow alleys, it is the animated heart of the city and when we say "animated", to put it mildly. Here, it is the effervescence 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The day, the market of Cours Saleya, the shops and the luxury boutiques, the terraces in the famous squares and any other part of the neighborhood, bubble with life. At night, it seems that no we have returned, because the places are always swarming with many people. The other districts of the city center in the immediate vicinity of Old Nice also display the same fervor.
In the harbor area, theme bars, lounges, brasseries and pubs are perfect places to start the evening (or finish it, of course). There are several in this area of the city and the reveller is spoiled for choice among these establishments, some more welcoming than others. For family outings or couples, for an exquisite dinner, to taste the culinary specialties of Nice, restaurants located in the heart of the old town or those located not far from the Promenade des Anglais, are the best destinations, a five minute walk of the center.
The evening will then continue in one of the nightclubs of Nice, still in the neighborhood. It is bathed in a festive and warm atmosphere. The dance floors welcome not only tourists, but also, and especially young Niçois (mainly academics). Everyone dances to the rhythm of the music, devote themselves with joy to the animations of the DJs. Nice at night is a bit like the French Las Vegas, especially in the casinos of the city where the Mediterranean heat accentuates even more the fervor of the players.
